Welcome to my campaign page! I am Austin Flemens, and I am running for the position of County Commissioner in Douglas County. My journey to this point has been driven by a deep commitment to public service, a value that has been instilled in me throughout my life and career.

A Life of Service

My dedication to serving our country began with my enlistment in the United States Marine Corps. During my time in the Marines, I completed multiple tours overseas, gaining invaluable experience and a profound appreciation for duty, honor, and community. The skills and values I developed during my military service have been the foundation of my professional and personal life.

Professional Expertise

Following my service in the Marines, I pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. This academic achievement equipped me with a strong understanding of organizational management, strategic planning, and financial oversight—skills that are essential for effective leadership and governance.

Local Commitment

Currently, I have the honor of serving as a Captain with the Wenatchee Valley Fire Department. In this role, I am responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our community, leading brave men and women who are dedicated to protecting lives and property. My position in the fire department has deepened my connection to the community and reinforced my commitment to public service.

Family and Heritage

My roots in Douglas County run deep. My family has lived here for generations, and the values of hard work, integrity, and community support have been passed down through the years. Growing up in this county, I have seen firsthand the unique challenges and opportunities we face. I am passionate about preserving our rich heritage while striving to create a prosperous future for all residents.
